Using this site and these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or hire D&L Hesperia Concrete and Masonry, a masonry contractor in Hesperia, CA, for work at your house. When you use the site, ask for an estimate or book a job, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

You can see the work we do on our home page, read about our crew, or contact us if anything here isn't clear before you go ahead.

The services we offer

We're licensed and insured, and we do concrete and masonry work for homes, including foundation repair, block and brick walls, chimney and fireplace work, pavers, walkways, retaining walls and stone veneer. The pages on this site describe that work in general terms, so they aren't a promise about your particular job.

Your written estimate or contract sets the scope, materials and details for your house. If that document and this site disagree, the document wins.

Estimates and pricing

Our estimates are free, done in person and come with no obligation. We look at the job before we give a figure, because the size of the work, access to it, the materials you pick and the ground it sits on all move the price.

An estimate is our best figure for what we can see. Masonry can hide problems, like a cracked footing under old block or loose brick behind a face, and sometimes we only find them once the work is open. If that happens, we stop, show you what we found and agree on any change with you in writing before we do extra work at extra cost.

An estimate is good for the period it states, because material prices change.

Scheduling, delays and cancellation

We set a start date with you once you approve the estimate. Weather, curing time for concrete and mortar, material deliveries and any permit or inspection your job needs can push that date, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.

We ask that you give our crew clear access to the work area and tell us about anything we should know, like sprinkler lines, buried utilities or pets in the yard. We may reschedule if conditions make the work unsafe or the site isn't ready.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (760) 983-7937 as early as you can. Your contract states any charge for materials already ordered or work already done, and nothing in these terms takes away a cancellation right the law gives you.

Payment

Your estimate or contract sets any deposit, the payment schedule and the ways you can pay, and payments are due on the dates it lists. Changes you approve in writing are billed the way that change says.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled, so the schedule can slip until then.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

We stand behind our work and guarantee your satisfaction, so if something we built isn't right, tell us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty for your job, with what it covers and for how long, will be in your contract.

Materials carry their makers' warranties, which we pass along to you where they apply. Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our work, such as ground movement, drainage we didn't build, misuse or changes made by others later.

Concrete and mortar can show hairline cracks and small color changes as they cure and age. Those are normal and aren't defects.

The information on this site is general and is provided as is, with no warranties beyond the ones in your contract.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, D&L Hesperia Concrete and Masonry isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses tied to this site or our work. Our total liability on a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

Nothing here limits any liability that California law doesn't allow a business to limit.

If we disagree

Call us first, because most problems get fixed faster when we look at them together on site. If a call doesn't settle it, send us the details in writing and we'll reply within 1 business day.

If we still can't agree, either of us may take the matter to a court that has jurisdiction, including small claims court where the amount fits.

Which state's law applies

These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case will be brought in the courts that serve Hesperia, CA.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one in effect when you use the site. A change won't alter a contract you've already signed with us.

If you have a question about these terms, reach us here or call (760) 983-7937. We answer Mon–Sun, 8 AM–9 PM.
